Dyes

Concrete dyes became an alternate way to staining or coloring the concrete. Though, not as old a system of topical coloring as acid staining. Dyes have become a very popular way of coloring existing or new concrete.  This system of coloring has more predictability than acid staining.

Dyes are available in water based or Acetone based.  They can be diluted, intermixed, or used straight to provide anything from a monolithic to a very variegated, even a translucent way of concrete coloring. We also use dyes to complement an acid stain floor to create more depth or as a color wash to add hue.

Although dyes are more predictable and can create any color in the spectrum,; dyes cannot completely replace the unique results that acid stain provide.
